oh dam and botherations!!!

Dam and botheration.... my computer has crashed and I am working on my "old laptop" the application that  I  take for granted on the "big girl" I  don't have the programs to run  them on this old girl!!!! so please forgive me if you don't hear or see any thing from me for a few days.
I am on  a mission to get it fixed... if my extra old girl is fixable LOL

On a happier note I do hope every one had a lovely mothers day! I did find on this old girl(com putter) a pic of my mother - whom we missed dearly.

Gifts for my friends..

Well today I have finally finished crocheting around a baby wrap for a friend who's expecting.. its so hard to photo white! cant quiet get the detail. Oh well here is the best picture of the lot that I took!




I have finally stitched the buttons on these hand towels that I am going to give to 3 special friends... sssshhhh don't say a word they don't know that they are coming their way!!!

Today Kimba the dog has gone into love  Me mode! He's been lying on the back of my lounge chair just watching every thing that I have done..I haven't moved to far... been stitching/crocheting. I guess it's a dogs life.... all he has to do all day is eat.. vacuum food that is on the floor- from when the girls cook!!  and of course sleeping and keeping one eye on the front door in case someone would like to visit HIM!  Or maybe have a good bark if you would  dare to walk past with out saying hi!

Sew sew sew all day long..

Today I finished my Narromine swap, can only give you a snippet of that until I hear from my partner that she has received it.

The good news is that today I did make some bags from a lovely pattern that came from khristina .I made a lovely bag with the help of my DD for her, she was pining and sewing. I then made another one for myself out of the scrap box of black and white fabric - here is the pictures of them hanging on my quilt cupboard.

Mums/Lindas little helpers

Today I had open house (the house is on the market) so while the house was open for viewings ... we departed and went to the club rooms to pin my scrappy cotton reels quilt. I had my DD, my neighbours DD( whom seem to have taken up residence here at my house) and good friend and Blogger Maria helping me. Well as the girls were short one end they became very inventive and climb on to the table to pin. much to our amusement!
We had been down town to the markets earlier in the day, the girls dressed in all the sparkles and boots, never mind the hats! oh to be show ponies.. don't you wish that we could all put on our evening gowns glitter and glitz and go to the markets and walk around thinking that we are so good... I do think we might all get a free ride to the funny farm! or laughed out of town! oh to be that young again.............

the sun sets on another lovely day

As the sun has set on another lovely day, I have been busy touching up the house for a open house tomorrow. Here is a picture of one of the table runners that I made to spruce up the house.. might I say that I did make about 6 of them and have them all around the house all slightly different.. they were made out of curtain fabric that were picked up in the bargain bins and back with a ugly that was in the stash. I believe that all up the cost me about $25.00 for the lot!
The lovely roses are out of my garden.

Wednesday.. oh to have a day at home..

I spent the whole day at home... I have been working on my Narromine Swap Partners lovely gift... sorry cant show you any of that just yet.
As my lovely home here is on the market thought that I might smarten up the front of my home... here is a picture of the mini "quilt" ( more like a cover for the old chair) and the cushion covers that I made to sit at the front door on the old cane chair.
